We at WamBam Fence love everything summer and outdoors because vinyl and aluminum fencing have a lot to do with the great outdoors.
Did you know that today marks the birthday of the ice cream cone? On July 23, 1904, the ice cream cone was first introduced at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition (source). Ever since then, both kids and adults alike have enjoyed this delicious treat!
You may not realize that ice cream is relatively easy to make. If you’re feeling adventurous this summer and want to do something fun with your kids, give this simple recipe a whirl. You won’t miss the preservatives found in commercially made ice cream, either. We recommend lessening the sugar, and you may want to double the batch because it won’t last long!
Easy Strawberry Ice Cream
What you need
Gadgets:
Food processor
Ingredients:
1 (10 ounce) package frozen fruit (strawberries, mixed berries, or peaches work well)
1/2 cup sugar (if you want to cut back on the sugar, by all means do so!)
2/3 cup heavy cream
Directions:
Combine the frozen strawberries and sugar in a food processor. Once the fruit is roughly chopped, slowly pour in the heavy cream while the processor is running until fully incorporated into the fruit. You can serve immediately or freeze.
We recommend indulging in this treat in your backyard where you can enjoy the sunshine of summer. If your backyard is not quite safe or secure, we’d love to provide you with a vinyl or aluminum fence!
