• Call 811 before you dig to check for underground utilities — this gate needs two finishing posts (BL19109) set into the ground.
• Read your Windsor Fence (BL19107) install guide first so you understand the panel assembly before installing your gate.
• Dry-fit the whole gate frame before driving any permanent screws. It's far easier to troubleshoot fit and assembly order before anything is fastened.
• Install your gate posts before your fence posts — fence panels are more forgiving for a custom fit than a gate.
• Never hang a gate off a single unsupported post. See Hinge Post Support below.

Gates do not come with their own posts

You will need two Finishing Posts — one to finish the fence run, and one to support the gate.

Your gate will perform best with complete fence panels on both sides. At minimum, the hinge post should be part of a connected fence run — tying it to a panel that continues to another post lets that post help carry the gate's swinging load, instead of the hinge post bearing it alone. If space restrictions make this impossible, contact us for alternative solutions.

Hinges only open one direction. Decide which way you want your gate to open before mounting your hinges.

Insert the bottom Rail (B) fully into one bottom Gate Bracket (A), then slide the opposite bottom Gate Bracket (A) onto the other end. Both ends must be seated all the way to the back of their brackets.

Note: Light force may be required to seat the rail fully.

Insert both Vertical Stiles (E) into the bottom Gate Brackets (A). They will bottom out against the bottom rail.

Choose the height for your two Rail Brackets (C) and mark their placement on both Vertical Stiles (E). If you are pairing this gate with the Windsor Fence (BL19107), set the brackets so your middle rails line up for a uniform look.

Important Note Regarding Pool Code: 43½" from the top of bottom frame meets typical pool code — always check your local regulations, as requirements vary.

Fasten both Rail Brackets (C) at your marked height with 4 white Screws (J).

Lower the Middle Rail (D) into both Rail Brackets (C) and fasten with 4 white Screws (J).

Insert all 8 Pickets (F) down through the middle rail and into the bottom rail. Don't be afraid to use muscle — you won't break the vinyl.

Insert the top Rail (B) fully into one top Gate Bracket (A), then slide the opposite top Gate Bracket (A) onto the other end.

Slide the assembled top rail and its Gate Brackets (A) down over the Vertical Stiles (E), pressing evenly on both sides until the brackets are fully seated.

Fasten all four Gate Brackets (A) with 16 white Screws (J). Apply pressure at the corners as you drive the screws to keep the frame square.

Fasten the Latch Finger (I) to the top bracket with 6 black Screws (K).

Fasten both Hinges (G) to the front of the gate brackets with 8 total black Screws (K).

Align the holes and assemble the Gate Brace (L) using the included hex bolt and washer.

Note: The hardware ships bundled with the gate brace.

Fasten the Gate Brace (L) to your gate with 4 white Screws (J).

Note: For best performance, install the brace with its top on the same side as the latch finger.

Rest the gate on temporary spacers or wood blocks to hold it at the right height while you install it. Keep the gate's rails level with your fence rails.

With the gate still resting on its blocks, fasten the Hinges (G) to the hinge post with 6 total black Screws (K).

Open the gate and set it on two wood blocks to keep it level. Fasten the hinges (G) to the post with 6 screws per hinge.

Note: If your internal pipe anchor sits close to the inside corner of the post, angle your screws to miss it. If the anchor can't be avoided, pre-drill the pipe anchor and install the gate with black 1¼" hex head screws (not included). Do not attempt to drive the pan head screws into the pipe anchor.

Level the gate to the fence post, then check that it swings and latches correctly. Mark where the latch catch needs to go.
