Can you paint WamBam, Zippity or ENCLO products?

Technically yes — but we don’t recommend it. Here’s why.
Why painting vinyl fence is a bad idea
- It voids your warranty. Any paint applied to your fence or privacy screen will void the product warranty.
- It can cause warping. Paint can trap heat in the vinyl, causing it to warp over time — especially in direct sunlight.
- It takes a lot of product. Getting solid, even coverage on vinyl requires significantly more paint than most people expect.
- It turns a low-maintenance product into a high-maintenance one. One of the biggest advantages of vinyl fence is that it never needs painting. The moment you paint it, that advantage is gone — and you’ll need to repaint it periodically as it chips and peels.
Important: Painting your vinyl fence will void your warranty. We strongly recommend against it.
If you really want a different color
If you have your heart set on a color change, the best product for painting vinyl is Krylon Fusion, a spray paint specifically formulated to bond to plastic and vinyl surfaces without peeling. It’s widely available at Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart.
