I live in St. Petersburg and had 2 back to back hurricanes in 13 days. Hurricane Helene was a Category 2 and crushed part of the Wambam fence installed 6 years ago. Hurricane Milton, a category 3 hurricane, arrived 13 days later and took down one more post and 2 more panels. The original installation did not use the pipe anchoring system ( except for the gate and corner posts which remained standing after both hurricanes) and all the panels were undamaged. So I bought the 4 pack of small pipe anchor posts and the Big Bertha post pounder and installation was easy! I put the fence back up and it’s as good as new!! I have loved this product for 6+ years and now with proper post anchors installed for all the posts, I feel confident that even a hurricane won’t damage it again. The first 3 photos are the fence repaired. The photos showing the tree down was after the first hurricane. The photo showing 3 fence sections down was total damage after the second hurricane hit 2 weeks later.

This project was initiated in order to give us some sense of privacy by bordering our lot and allowing us to plant some bushes along it in the future. I ordered the Jiminy Picket PVC fence and it arrived in a good shape packaged on a pallet. There were no missing parts. I started by placing a string line connecting between two rods situated at the edges of our lot, so the fence will stay in our territory. I used your Bertha pounder to start with the first pipe at the edge. This pounder does a great job! Each time I moved to the next pipe, I placed the post on the pipe and used the horizontal rail to make sure I had the correct distance between the posts. The leveling patent helped me a lot for aligning the pipes vertically. I then continued with the posts till I reached the other end of the line. In some areas the ground was not deep enough to allow the required penetration of the pipe, but still the pipe ended up being very stable. I must recommend the excellent instructions with clear illustrations which came with the product. The project was easy to complete, and I did it all by myself (I am 72 years old). This is my second WamBam fence and I give it 5 stars rating.
