To say that I’m impressed with WamBam would be the understatement of the year. I had been planning on a fence project for quite some time, deciding on the location, materials, and installation methods – having never installed a fence, it initially felt very daunting. Early into the project, I decided on Vinyl, as I wanted to minimize ongoing maintenance, as wood requires annual staining and cleaning to prevent deterioration…. Let’s be honest, does anyone actually keep their wooden fences looking nicer for more than a few years? After some searching around, I stumbled upon the WamBam system, which quickly caught my attention as my property has several trees along the perimeter where I wanted to install the fence, so I knew I would eventually run into issues with a traditional post hole digger or auger. I soon reached out to a WamBam associate, Robert, who talked me through the process and was incredibly patient with my many, many questions and doubts, even sending a product sample, which sealed the deal. From the sample, I knew instantly that this product was far superior to the flimsy alternatives available at my local big box store. After a few weeks of deliberation, I went ahead with the order, and much to my surprise, the delivery happened just 4 short days later – for comparisons sake, another product I was looking at through Home Depot had a delivery window of 4-6 weeks. On arrival day, the delivery partner that WamBam works with showed up and the delivery driver helped unload the 50 or so boxes of parts and get them organized in my garage. These boxes are heavy, so I was glad to have a hand in unloading. Installation turned out to be a breeze, after spending an hour or two studying the installation manuals and prepping out the area with guide strings, I was able to average about 10 panels a day. The instructions were incredibly clear, with helpful pictures and videos to assist. There was definitely a learning curve initially, and I made some mistakes on the first few panels, leaving too much space, which through off the lengths, but this is where WamBam’s differentiator was – a quick call to their technical support and Robert guided me through several options for fixing the issues, even providing additional reading materials designed for the exact dilemma I ran into. Similarly, I ran into some difficulties during one section of my install due to the slope of my land being more significant that I originally thought, but Robert once again came to rescue providing solutions that helped me quickly rectify the issue. Seriously, where else can a DiYer get this level of support? I’ve done lots of projects on my home and have literally never had this level of support available at virtually any time of the day. Living at the start of a nature trail in my area, my neighbors originally looked at me with skepticism as I started this project, but once it was all up and installed, I’ve gotten nothing but positive feedback on it – this fence is seriously good looking and honestly looks better some of the professionally installed ones in my area. I can’t wait for phase two, where I swap out the wooden fence border that I share with a neighbor for a WamBam fence. Protip: Don’t skimp out on the gas post pounder. That thing is an absolute beast and pushed the pipes through my compacted clay that was intermixed with tree root debris like it was butter. I had to manually pound one pipe in due to obstructions and it was easily 10 times the work compared to the gas pounder.

For an experienced DIY’er, this is one of the easiest fences to install. For an inexperienced DIY’er, however, this is the absolute easiest fence you’ll ever put up. Working by myself, 56 feet of fence went up in less than 8 hours. The product was clean and perfect and the fence looks beautiful. I was skeptical at first, but am a believer now. I seriously was looking for more fence to install in my yard after this job was complete.

Hello I installed the steady Freddie fence and it looks great and was very easy to install after the galvanized posts were installed. I started out doing them by hand and after 3 I decided I needed a gas powered Post driver. I could not find one to rent anywhere near me, so I ended up buying a new one on eBay for $220.00, well worth the money!! My only concern is after driving the posts 42” in the ground as direction says, I find that my fence does move back and forth with wind speeds of 20mph and higher. Not sure if this is designed that way or not? I am in the Midwest so it’s hard dirt and clay the posts are in. Any responses are appreciated Thanks
